
Photoshop Maker Adobe’s co-founder John Warnock Died at 82.

On Sunday, Adobe Systems, Inc. CEO Shantanu Narayen sent an email announcing the passing of the company’s Chairman, Dr. John Warnock. Dr. Warnock passed away on Saturday, August 19th, 2023, although the cause of his death has not been disclosed at this time.
In Narayen’s letter, he expressed the pain felt by the Adobe community and the tech industry as a whole, stating that Dr. Warnock’s death is a great loss. “It is a sad day for the Adobe community and the industry, as Dr. Warnock has been an inspiration to many for decades.”
About John Warnock
Dr. John Edward Warnock co-founded the revolutionary software company, Adobe with his partner late Dr. Charles Geschke in 1982. He was born in October 6, 1940 and died in August 19, 2023. Marva Warnock, John’s wife had blessed him with three (3) children.
John is a Computer Scientist, an Inventor, and Technology Businessman. He spent two (2) years being the president of Adobe, and the remaining sixteen (16) years as CEO and CHAIRMAN of the company.
Although, John Warnock stepped down as CEO of Adobe in 2001, but he remained the Chairman of the company’s board of directors with Geschke until 2017.
Marva Warnock is a graphic designer, she designed the company’s original logo, and the company first program – the desktop publishing software Adobe PostScript, was launched after two (2) years.
CEO Shantanu Narayen had explained the potentials of Warnock as a greatest inventor in this present generation in the email sent to staff announcing the pass of the Chairman.
According to him, John Warnock is a “greatest inventors in our generation with significant impact on how we communicate in words, images and videos.” “My interactions with John over the past 25 years have been the highlight of my professional career.”
